Hair Extension Myths

The most common myths about hair extensions I’ve heard:

  1. You can go bald after getting extensions. This can happen only if you go to an unqualified technician. With professional application and high-quality work, this won’t be an issue.
  2. All your hair will fall out. False. Hair loss depends on the quality of the extension work and how well you care for your hair. If done properly and with the right maintenance, your natural hair will stay healthy.
  3. Extensions damage your natural hair. This can happen if the extensions are applied incorrectly. But with proper technique and quality materials, your hair will remain unharmed.
  4. Hot fusion is harmful. Not true! A hairdryer or straightener can reach up to 220°C, while hot fusion tools for extensions operate at around 180°C. When professional tools are used correctly, there’s no damage.
  5. Slavic “baby” hair is the best. Not necessarily! These types of hair are often very fine and thin, and the ponytails may not be dense. If your hair texture is different, they won’t suit you.
  6. You can wear extensions for more than 3 months. That’s harmful to your natural hair. Over time, the extensions may tangle and cause breakage. Regular maintenance and timely corrections are essential.

Take care of your hair, don’t believe the myths — and always trust professionals!
